PHOS-CHEK® 6% AFFF MIL-SPEC foam concentrate is a C6 based product on the Department of Defense Qualified Product Database (QPD) – Qualified Products List (QPL). The most common use for 6% AFFF MIL-SPEC foam is by the US Navy. The MIL-SPEC testing protocol (DOD MIL-PRF-24385) is the most rigorous test program for foam concentrates. The foams must pass multiple fire tests and confirm performance when diluted with both fresh and sea water. Fire performance is confirmed in both 2.6m2 and 4.6m2 unleaded gasoline pool fires at half strength and five times concentration. Other requirements include chemical and physical property specifications, foam quality (expansion and drain time), film formation, and sealibility tests. The MIL-SPEC test protocol also requires a determination of environmental impact based on biodegradability studies like Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and aquatic toxicity.

Class A Foam improves water effectiveness. Provides fast knock down. Slows evaporation and improves penetration in deep seated fires. Perfect for CAFS.Explore
Class B foam is required for protection from and suppression of flammable liquid fires. Typical applications include chemical and petrochemcial plants, refineries, aircraft rescue and fire fighting, LPG/LNG terminals, etc.Explore
Liquid fire extinguishers are highly effective and cause far less peripheral damage than powder extinguishers. Class a or Class B additives significantly improve their effectiveness.Explore
Fire suppressant gel is thickened water typically used to coat a structure to protect it from impinging fire. Gel wraps a “blanket of water” around any structure, keeping it cool and preventing ignition from nearby fires.Explore
