Phos-Chek 3% AFFF MilSpec

Indroducing Phos-Chek 3% Mil-Spec AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) concentrate, a new formulation demonstrating ICL Performance Products’ commitment to superior firefighting performance and environmental responsibility that meets the intent of the US EPA 2010/2015 PFOA Stewardship program.
Phos-Chek 3% Mil-Spec AFFF is a mixture of short chain (C6) fluorosurfactants, hydrocarbon surfactants, solvents, and water. The product is listed on the Qualified Products List (QPL) after completion of their rigorous testing protocol, Mil-F-24385. Recognized as the most difficult fire test in the world, this protocol tests the performance of AFFFs in both fresh and sea water. Phos-Chek 3% Mil-Spec AFFF foam met all the requirements of the standard, including confirmation of safe usage by personnel and environmental impact as measured by the Biological Oxygen Demand/ Chemical Oxygen Demand ratio. In addition, Phos-Chek 3% Mil-Spec AFFF has been proven to meet all the physical requirements and performance requirements including fire extinguishment at 50% strength, full strength, and at a 5X proportioned foam concentrations.
