FIRST RESPONSE
First Response is the latest development of a budget conscious Class A foam concentrate that compares favorably to the performance of other economy foams such as Chemguard’s Class A foam products and Ansul Silv-ex Plus. First Response is manufactured by the makers of the well-known Phos-Chek brand fire suppression products. First Response is formulated to make water more effective for firefighting. The unique combination of surfactants significantly reduces water surface tension and, when mixed with air, creates a foam blanket that surrounds fuels with a thick layer of water. This creates a barrier between the fuel and the fire, knocking down the fire faster than water alone, and allows fire fighters to see the areas of application. Making the water more effective reduces the amount of water needed to extinguish the fire reducing water damage and increases fire fighter safety through quicker knockdown and reduced mop-up/overhaul requirements. First Response contains NO HAZARDOUS MATERIALS, is non corrosive, non-toxic, readily biodegradable, and has no flash point. It does not contain any fluorinated surfactants such as PFOS/PFOA, which are found only in Class B foams.
